Actress Poonam Pandey in hospital with injuries, husband arrested

Bollywood actress and Instagram model Poonam Pandey has been hospitalised with injuries to the face and head after allegedly being assaulted by husband Sam Bombay. The Mumbai police have arrested Bombay after a complaint was filed by Pandey in the matter.

A case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face," the Mumbai police said, according to ANI.

This is the second time Sam Bombay has been accused of domestic assault since the couple married last year in September, with the first case of domestic violence filed during the honeymoon where Pandey claimed she had been physically and sexually assaulted by her husband as well as threatened. However, the actress later withdrew the case after coming to a compromise with her husband and he was granted conditional bail the next day.

Sam Bombay, a successful ad-film maker, and Poonam Pandey had tied the knot in September last year. Born and brought up in the United Arab Emirates, He had done projects with celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone amongst others and has reportedly also worked with cricketers like Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh. As per reports, he has directed various advertisements for brands like Oppo, Sparx and Amazon.
