Abhishek Bachchan dismisses divorce rumours with Aishwarya Rai as “absolutely false”

Abhishek Bachchan has firmly denied rumours of a divorce from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, calling the speculation “absolutely false” and hurtful.

In an interview with Peeping Moon, the actor said such rumours are inevitable for public figures but have no basis in reality. He said whatever has been written about a separation is wrong, fabricated, and intentionally damaging.

Abhishek said speculation around their relationship has existed from the very beginning. He said people guessed their wedding dates before marriage and now speculate about separation after marriage. He described it all as nonsense and said what matters is that they return to a loving and grounded family. He added that they know each other’s truth.

Asked if the rumours bother him, Abhishek said they do not because there is not even a shred of truth to them. He said he would not tolerate falsehoods or fabricated stories about his family.

Rumours about a rift between Aishwarya and Abhishek began circulating last year and intensified after they arrived separately at a high-profile wedding. The buzz grew further when Abhishek liked a social media post referring to “grey divorce,” a term used for couples over 50 ending long marriages.

However, the couple has made several joint appearances in recent months. In April, they attended Aishwarya’s cousin’s wedding in Pune along with their daughter Aaradhya. They were also seen together at Aaradhya’s school function, at a star-studded wedding reception in December, and during their daughter’s birthday celebrations.

On the professional front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II. Abhishek Bachchan was most recently seen in the Amazon Prime original Be Happy.
