After 18 months of shutdown due to pandemic, Wipro resumed work-from-office from Monday.

The company's chairman Rishad Premji had tweeted on Sunday that their leaders are coming to the office twice a week, and all are fully vaccinated. They were ready to work, he said, and practising safety and social distancing, IANS reported.

Premji posted a video of the campus too, explaining how the routine inside would be, with multiple checkpoints for temperature checks and QR scans.

Wipro had stated in its annual report that they shaped their business continuity plans to enable remote working after pandemic broke out and less than 3 per cent of their workforce worked at the office. Premji said in the report that they have settled in the new way of working and continued making their clients successful and enjoy their confidence.

The hybrid model of work (work from home and office) would be how they work in the future.

In July, the company had said that they would invest 1 billion dollars over the next three years in cloud services, technologies, acquisitions, and partnerships to simplify and accelerate their clients' business operations.

It had unveiled 'FullStride' the cloud services to enhance its offering and talent to its clients. It employs nearly 79,000 techies to provide cloud services to clients like Telefonica Germany, O2, Verifone and Metro AG in Europe, it had said.
