HTech, the company behind the Honor 90 5G smartphone, has outlined its ambitious plans for the Indian market.

HTech has already invested Rs. 400 crore to establish operations and distribution networks for the Honor brand in India.

The company aims to launch more products in the coming months, although specific details were not provided. HTech is also in discussions with three contract manufacturers in India, with plans to commence local manufacturing of Honor smartphones in the first quarter of 2024, between January and March.

In an interview with the Economic Times, HTech's CEO Madhav Sheth shared the company's recent and upcoming initiatives.

India is considered a key growing market within the global Honor family, and Sheth mentioned that the company has a comprehensive strategy in place for 2024. While he didn't divulge specifics, he hinted at having "something big" in store for the Indian market.

With the Honor 90 5G, HTech aims to sell 50,000 units through both online and offline channels during the ongoing festive season. Sheth stated that the company is targeting sales of up to Rs. 60 crore during this period.

The phone, marking Honor's re-entry into India, boasts a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and promises a bloatware-free experience with two years of Android software updates.

During Amazon's Great Indian Festival sale, which began on October 8, the Honor 90 5G is available at significant discounts and offers. Customers can purchase the 8GB + 256GB variant for as low as Rs. 26,999, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs. 29,999 after all discounts.

The phone is offered in Diamond Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black color options.
