Adani welcomes Bhutan PM and King at Khavda Energy Site and Mundra Port

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently hosted Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay at the Adani Group's 30 GW Renewable Energy site in Khavda and the Mundra Port in Gujarat.
This visit marks a significant step in fostering collaboration between the two nations for sustainable development.
Expressing his gratitude on social media platform X, Adani shared, "Immensely grateful to His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan and Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay for visiting Adani's 30 GW Renewable Energy site at Khavda and Mundra Port. Deeply inspired by Bhutan's vibrant spirit and steadfast commitment to eco-friendly initiatives."
He further emphasized the excitement about collaborating with Bhutan to promote a sustainable and greener future.
Last week, Adani met with Bhutan's Prime Minister and announced the signing of an agreement to develop a 570 MW green hydro plant in Bhutan. This agreement underscores the growing partnership between the Adani Group and Bhutan in advancing green energy initiatives.
Reflecting on his recent meetings in Bhutan, Adani said, "Absolutely fascinating meeting with Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Hon. Prime Minister of Bhutan. Signed an MoU with DGPC for a 570 MW green hydro plant in Chukha province. Admirable to see @pmo_bhutan advancing the vision of His Majesty The King and pursuing broad-ranging infrastructure initiatives across the kingdom. Looking forward to working closely on hydro and other infrastructure in Bhutan."
Adani also shared photos from his meetings with the Bhutanese leaders, highlighting his honor in meeting the King and his inspiration drawn from the ambitious eco-friendly masterplan for Gelephu Mindfulness City, which includes large computing centers and data facilities.
In November of the previous year, Adani had met with the King of Bhutan, expressing his excitement about exploring opportunities for the Adani Group to contribute to green infrastructure development for one of India's friendly neighbors.
