Mahindra to launch India's first electric sedan Thursday
text_fieldsMumbai: An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. Truly Mahindra is an optimist, after circumventing NGT ban on diesel vehicles with engines over 2000cc by downsizing the power unit, Mahindra is getting aggressive in expanding its electric cars portfolio.
Mahindra Reva formerly called as Reva Electric Car Company is all set to launch india's first electric sedan e-Verito.
Electric verito was first showcased as concept in 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and later in production form in 2016 Auto Expo. Mahindra will launch e-verito on Thursday. E-verito is based on Mahindra's only sedan Verito but powered by an all-electric power plant.

E-Verito is powered by a 72 V 3-phase AC induction motor that produces a maximum power output of 30.5 kW/41 hp at 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 91 Nm at 3,000 rpm. It will take 8 hours to fully charge e-verito which can run 100 km before requiring a recharge. Top of the line, D6 variant will come with fast charge feature for quicker charging.

Apart from the power plant, there would be updated interiors and body graphics to differentiate e-verito from the regular one. However the dimensions remains the same it measures 4,277 mm in length, 1,740 mm in width, 1,540 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,630 mm. We expect Mahindra E-verito to be priced upwards of 8 Lakhs.
