Social media: X, previously Twitter, has suspended recently died Russian Opposition leader Alexei Navalny's wife Yulia Navalnaya's account shortly after she created it, Agence France-Press reported.
"Account suspended. X suspends accounts which violate the X rules," a message on her account page read. Though the page added a link to the site's rules and regulations, it did not specify the reason behind the suspension.
It was on Monday, Yulia went public saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin killed her husband three days before in an Arctic prison. This was following the death of the Russian opposition leader that made headlines. Officials said that he died after collapsing while walking in the jail. But Yulia reiterated that it was Putin who killed her husband.
She said that Vladimir Putin killed her husband, Alexei Navalny, three days back, but she will continue the work he started, the struggle for the freedom of the country. She requested all those out there who followed Alexei to keep extending their support.
Alexei Navalny, a staunch critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, died on Friday in a Russian prison in Siberia, according to a statement by jail authorities. He was charged with various crimes and was serving a prison sentence. He became active in Russian politics a decade ago after exposing massive corruption by Putin's cronies.
