Kremlin: The rumours being put about these days say Russian President Vladimir Putin is critically ill.
However, Russian authorities laugh away all reports regarding Putin's ill health.
Now The Independent newspaper has said that Putin has a "rapidly progressing cancer".
Sourcing from a Russian intelligence officer, the report said that the 69-year-old president was also losing his eyesight.
The president was given just three years to live, an officer from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said.
The FSB official in a message to former Russian spy Boris Karpichkov, who lives in the UK, gave the details of Putin's health.
It said Putin was suffering from headaches and during his TV appearances Putin read out from pieces of paper written in huge letters—each page could hold only a couple of sentences.
His eyesight was worsening, as per the snippets of the message released by news.com.au.
There have been rumours about Putin's deteriorating health even as Russia continues offence on Ukraine.
He underwent a surgery earlier this month to remove fluid from abdomen; the surgery, according to reports sourcing from Telegram Channel General SVR, went well without complications.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Sunday tried to put speculations to rest, saying there were no signs of any ailment and added that Putin appears in public every day.
To set the record straight, he said "you can watch him on screens, read and listen to his speeches".
