‘Vengeance for all’: Young Iranians release Lego video targeting Trump

Tehran: Iran is increasingly turning to digital storytelling as a powerful tool to shape global narratives, with a group of young creators producing viral Lego-style animated videos that are drawing widespread international attention.

The videos, created by the Iranian collective Explosive Media, have amassed millions of views across social media platforms. Using familiar Lego-style visuals, the creators present politically charged content highlighting the human cost of conflicts involving the United States and Israel. The animations reference issues such as racial injustice in the US, abuse at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and civilian deaths in Gaza, positioning them within a broader critique of Western military actions.

“For all the crimes you committed against humanity, for all the voices you silenced, and for all the children whose play was left unfinished— Once and for all ONE VENGEANCE FOR ALL,” caption on a video posted on X by Explosive Media read.

The content also features symbolic portrayals of leaders such as Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, often depicted in a critical light. The videos incorporate references to internal US controversies, including the Epstein files and the MAGA movement, while using the slogan “One Vengeance for All” as a recurring theme.

The initiative is driven by a small team of creators, reportedly fewer than ten individuals aged between 19 and 25, who have leveraged accessible digital tools to produce high-impact content with global reach. Despite facing restrictions, including the removal of its YouTube channel by Google over allegations of promoting violence, the group continues to distribute its videos across multiple platforms.

Iran has criticised the platform’s action as an attempt to suppress alternative perspectives. Observers note that by repurposing a globally recognizable pop culture format, Iran has effectively transformed a Western cultural symbol into a medium for counter-narratives, with the trend now gaining traction beyond its borders.
