Nashville, Tennessee: A student in the US chased a teacher and pepper-sprayed him after he captured the phone she used for cheating a test.
A footage showed a teacher at Antioch High School near Nashville, Tennessee walking out of the classed followed by a female student who pepper-sprayed him, to get her phone back.
The teacher took away the phone when the student was reportedly found ‘texting and Googling answers for her school work’.
The video shared on Reddit caused a widespread outrage on the social media with many questioning the student’s unruly behaviour.
Following the teacher, the girl tires to grab the phone back but he pulls his arm away.
Afterwards she pepper-sprays him again, and then he falls to the ground crying in pain.
All the while, the student screamed, 'Can I get my phone, I need my phone’.
Another teacher from an adjacent classroom intervenes, warning the student she cannot have her phone back as the pepper-sprayed teacher was in pain.
The user who put in the video on Reddit reportedly said that the same teacher was previously punched in the face after he had taken away anther student’s phone used for cheating.
Similar incidents according to the user are commonplace in the school.
Many on social media questioned her behaviour with one user, who is an immigrant, wondered why young people did not respect their teachers in America.
‘I'm an immigrant. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in my native country, '’ the user said.
