According to the International Judo Federation (IJF), both the Russian president and businessman Arkady Rotenberg have been removed from all their positions.
As a result of the attack on Ukraine, Mr. Putin was suspended as honorary president and ambassador of the IJF.
"The International Judo Federation announces that Mr Vladimir Putin and Mr Arkady Rotenberg have been removed from all positions held in the International Judo Federation," in a brief statement, the IJF said.
Following the outbreak of the Ukraine war 13 days ago, it is the latest governing body to revoke a sporting title from the Russian President.
In a statement issued last month, World Taekwondo informed Mr Putin it was withdrawing the honourary 9th dan black belt it had bestowed on him in November 2013.
Previously, FINA (The International Swimming Federation) rescinded the award it had given the Russian president.
Putin achieved an eighth dan, one of the highest levels in judo, in 2014. His love of keeping fit through judo and ice hockey is well-known.
In the meantime, Rotenberg possesses close ties with Mr Putin and is a member of IJF's executive committee.
The billionaire owns a huge construction company that builds infrastructure like pipelines and bridges, and he is also Vladimir Putin's judo partner.
Last year, Mr Rotenberg made headlines after he claimed ownership of an opulent Black Sea mansion, which has been linked to Mr Putin.
It all began when Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny's team released a documentary that said the palace belonged to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russia has been slapped with a number of sporting punishments recently, which has put Mr Putin on the defensive.
In May, UEFA deprived Saint Petersburg of hosting the Champions League final, the most prestigious club competition in European football, and Formula One cancelled its Russian Grand Prix scheduled for September 25.
Currently, Poland and Sweden have agreed not to play Russia in the 2022 World Cup play-offs, hoping to persuade their 27 European partners to impose a blanket ban on international sports.
Athletes from Russia can no longer compete on the soil of the European Union (EU).
