Tesla employee arrested after threatening to kill Musk, President Biden

New York: A 31-year-old man was charged with threatening to kill US President Joe Biden and billionaire Elon Musk, Fox News reported.

Justin McCauley, who is an employee at Elon Musk’s Tesla, based in Minnesota was arrested in Texas after he allegedly posted on X on Tuesday that he was "planning to kill" both of them.

McCauley faces felony terroristic threats for his post that reportedly read: ‘I will arrive in Texas where the war has begun on many fronts @X @Tesla,’ adding in another post, ‘@JoeBiden @X @Telsa @Elonmusk, I am planning to kill all of you.’

Meanwhile, court filings showed that MaCauley’s wife reached out to cops after he declared he was leaving for Texas and would never return.

His wife reportedly said that he could not be monitored as he had left his mobile phone at home.

However, Oklahoman law authorities stopped McCauley on January 26 as he was passing through the state.

Later he told police he wanted to speak with the president, adding, ‘Wouldn't you want to talk to the president if you knew you were going to die tomorrow?’

Subsequently in the following morning, authorities were alerted about a threat call having received at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin. It is yet to find out if McCauley made the call.

Elon Musk already acknowledged in December 2022 the risk of getting ‘shot ‘ quite significant’, adding that he wouldn’t be ‘ definitely’ be doing any open-air car parades.

‘It's not that hard to kill somebody if you wanted to, so hopefully they don't, and fate smiles upon the situation with me and it does not happen ... There's definitely some risk there,’ Elon Musk reportedly said.
