Ten more murdered by the armed forces in Myanmar

Yangoon: Firing and attacks on the protestors continue in Myanmar, with no end to the military's manhunt in sight.

Four people have been reported killed in the Bago region, a hundred kilometres northeast of Yangoon. A total of ten have been reported dead by Bago Weekly Online, citing hospital sources.

Thousands are still on the protest fronts across all the major cities. Meanwhile, even as the protests and the oppression continue, the military junta has claimed in a statement that the protests are weakening and that the elections would be held in two years.

Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun, the spokesperson for the military, said in Naypyidaw that the nation is returning to normalcy and that banks and government offices would resume functioning soon.

At least 614 people have been reported killed in the protests since the coup took place this February. The junta claim 16 policemen have also died.
