'Still Sleeping': Musk takes a dig at Biden for ignoring SpaceX's all-civilian crew

Elon Musk on Sunday took a jibe at the United States president Joe Biden after he failed to acknowledge SpaceX's completion of its first all-civilian mission.

"The President of the United States has refused to even acknowledge the 4 newest American astronauts who helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for St. Jude," a Twitter user @rhensing wrote. "What's your theory on why that is?"

"He's still sleeping," Musk responded on Sunday afternoon.

SpaceX's first all-civilian mission, in which four amateur astronauts—Jared Isaacman, Hayley Arceneaux, Chris Sembroski, and Dr Sian Proctor spent three days circling the planet at an altitude of over 335 miles, roughly 75 miles higher than the International Space Station and on par with the Hubble Space Telescope.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and other top officials from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration congratulated those involved in the mission.

Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, among other aerospace competitors, also congratulated SpaceX on the mission.
