Russia frustrated over Ukraine's increasing resistance

Kyiv: Obviously Russia expected a cakewalk over a weak Ukraine with launching attack days ago. It seems if at all Russia has its way, it will be at the cost of huge casualties on Russian side as well.

An adviser to Ukrainian president reportedly said around 3,500 Russian soldiers have been killed or injured so far; "We are striking the enemy around Kyiv. The enemy is not moving for now," said Oleksiy Arestovych.

According to bits of reports from warfront Ukrainians have dug their heels in, putting up stiff resistance against the mighty Russian forces.

Despite pounding areas around Kyiv with bombs, cruise missiles, razing to ground public buildings, leaving streets in disarray, capital kyiv still remains off-limits to Russians. At least, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said as much.

Ukrainian army's initially flustered morale got stronger and Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands.

If anything, Russia might consider at this point the invasion a tall-call, which is easier said than done.

After their initial inroads into Ukraine, Russians appeared to be blunt and slowed, keeping their outside Kyiv, a senior US official reportedly said.

Russia deployed at least 50 percent of its forces inside Ukraine, the nation of 41.46 Million. Despite most sophisticated weapons and army, Russian still seems to be far from achieving its designs.

After hanging back from any action, US President Joe Biden reportedly directed US State Department to release fromits stock an additional $350 million worth of arms to Ukraine.Following suit, Germany and France may well be sending military equipment to the besieged Ukraine.

Though Ukraine is reportedly resisting Russia, thousands of Ukrainians are feeling the nation. Just as reports earlier, people are milling about to cross the borders. Poland has seen 100,000 refugees crossing its borders.UN suggests that as many must have been displaced internally.

How many Ukrainians must have been internally displaced is not yet clear. Close to 50,000 fled to Hungary and Romania, and reports say that neighbouring Moldova saw thousands of Ukrainians seeking its refuge.
