Tehran: Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly been killed in a US-Israel attack on his residence in northeast Tehran's Narnak area. The Saturday evening strike also claimed the lives of several security personnel, according to reports.
Ahmadinejad served as Iran's president from 2005 to 2013. Prior to that, he held positions as mayor of Tehran and governor of Ardabil province.
Israeli War room also quoted Iranian media, to report the death. "Former president of Iran’s Islamist Terror Regime, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was eliminated, per Iranian media. Ahmadinejad was sanctioned by the US in 2023 for involvement in the wrongful detention of Americans," it said.
