Palestinians create AI video to counter US President's Gaza imagination

Following US President Donald Trump's controversial AI-generated video depicting his vision of an American-owned Gaza, Palestinians created a counter-video emphasising that the land will "always be Palestinian."

The video was shared on 'X' by the Palestinian digital media platform SahatEnglish, with the description "A message to #Trump: #Gaza will always be Palestinian!"

The video begins with words similar to Trump's, "Gaza 2025, What Next?" but depicts a child presenting flowers to a member of Hamas' Al Qassam Brigades in the rubble.

The video next shows a clip that resembles true footage of thousands of Palestinians returning to their homes in northern Gaza following the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement, TNIE reported.

The video then depicts a lively and thriving Gaza metropolis with a rich cultural heritage, mosques, and tall structures. The video also depicts young people dressed in keffiyehs performing the traditional Palestinian folk dance dabkeh on the beach, which appears to be a direct response to Trump's video with bearded belly dancers.

The video also features a smiling Palestinian child holding an 'I love Gaza' balloon in apparent response to Trump's video, which included a child holding a Trump balloon. A rock song plays in the background of the video, with the lyrics, "Gaza is ours... no matter who, no matter how, we stand unshaken. We are here, we will remain, Gaza rises through the pain."

Notably, in contrast to the earlier video's representations of Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the Palestinian video portrays them as struggling.

Trump and Netanyahu are depicted wearing jail uniforms and wailing in frustration, while Musk is seen distressed in the background of images showing a stock market meltdown.

The video also shows the Palestinian flag flying high in the middle of the city. The video went viral on social media, with users imagining trips to the vibrant city.

"Love this! I will definitely be visiting," a netizen said.

"Despite living through a genocide and losing generations to Israel's assault, and many being stuck outside of their land- young Gazans knew how to respond to Trump's AI video in a befitting way," another responded.
