Ramallah: Israeli soldiers have killed a third Palestinian man during clashes in the town of Sliwad on the northeast side of Ramallah. Palestinian Ministry of Health and eyewitnesses informed that Israeli soldiers shot and killed 20-year-old Omar Ellian and wounded six others during the Wednesday conflict, IANS reported.
The ministry said in a statement that the injured were admitted to the hospital in Ramallah, Xinhua news agency reported. However, Israeli forces have not commented on the incident so far.
The Palestinian health ministry had said earlier on Wednesday that a 34-year-old lawyer and a 14-year-old boy, both Palestinian nationals, were killed in two separate incidents in the West Bank. For the past three weeks, tensions between Israelites and Palestinians have been escalating in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry had confirmed that 38 Palestinians had been killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, which includes women and children, since January.
