date_range Nepal flood death toll rises to 1,385

Kathmandu: The death toll from the floods in Nepal has risen to 1,385, with more bodies recovered from the affected areas. A total of 13,676 people have been rescued so far, while 5,130 remain missing.
Search operations to locate those still unaccounted for are continuing. The Nepalese Foreign Ministry said $4.78 billion would be required for post-flood reconstruction.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah said Nepal would strongly raise the disasters it has faced as a result of climate change before the international community.
