New York: Finding a missing girl in a damp staircase room is spooky. Only a thriller movie could have something spookier.

Cops had been out on a hunt for her since.
All their efforts came to a naught until they got a tip off on Monday. Police located her underneath a staircase in a house New York state.
At the time of her missing police suspected she was abducted by her biological non-custodial parents, New York Times reported.
Her biological parents, Kimberly Cooper, 33, and Kirk Shultis Jr, 32 didn't have a custody of her, police said.
Her disappearance remained as a hairy mystery for long.
On Monday, police received a tip off about the girl's whereabouts. Obtaining a search warrant, they reached the girl's grandpa's house in the town of Saugerties.
Cops searched high and low for about an hour before chancing up on the child hidden under a closed staircase.
Police removed the step boards and found both the girl and her mother Kimberly hiding in the damp enclosure.
Taking Paislee to police headquarters, cops got her examined by paramedics, and found her in good health. She is left to her legal guardian, the report said.
Police arrested her parents and the girl's grandfather Kirk Shultis, 57. They face charges of custodial interference and endangering the welfare of a child, The New York Times reports.
Since the girl's missing police quizzed Kirk Shultis Jr many times; the man however said he had no knowledge of her location.
