Los Angeles: Media magnate Rupert Murdoch who owns newspapers including the British tabloid ‘The Sun’ married for the fifth time Saturday at age 93, news agency AFP reported.
Murdoch tied knot with 67-year-old Elena Zhukova who is a retired molecular biologist.
The ceremony took place at Murdoch’s California vineyard and estate, called Moraga.
The Sun published photographs of the couple smiling as Murdoch was seen in a black suit and yellow tie and Elena Zhukova in an off-the-shoulder white gown.
Guests at the wedding include 82-year-old Robert Kraft who owns the New England Patriots US football team and his wife50-year-old Dana Blumberg.
Murdoch’s most recent marriage was with model Jerry Hall, who was the partner of singer Mick Jagger of the band Rolling Stones.
Already married four times, Murdoch’s private life has been subject for the tabloid newspapers.
Last year, Murdoch called off plans to marry conservative radio host and former dental hygienist Ann Lesley Smith less than a month after announcing engagement.
His new wife Zhukova was emigrated to the United States from Russia and Murdoch has six children.
His first marriage was with an Australian flight attendant Patricia Booker whom Murdoch divorced in 1960s.
Born in Australia, Murdoch owns publications including The Wall Street Journal and other outlets like Fox News.
Murdoch handed over control of his empire to son Lachlan last November
