Jeddah: Jeddah Season 2022, all set to begin in May, will take place through two months, according to the organisers.
The fest will see as many as 2800 events being presented at nine key venues.
The events, focusing on the province's culture, tradition and seafaring backdrop, will draw in tourists.
Jiddah season 2022, according to communication and marketing executive director Kusura al Qatib, is a major national programme aimed at turning the region into a permanent tourism destination.
The fest will feature a glut of programmes including four international exhibitions, 7 Arab plays, two international plays, 20 Arab music concert, 3 international music concert, more than 60 entertainment games, and 60 fireworks, he said. Jeddah governor-charge Saud bin Abdulla bin Jalavi also participated in the press meet at Jeddah Yaquth club.
Global season for happiness and festivity
Jeddah Season 22 will offer happiness and joy to people of ages as well as visitors, according to Jeddah Seaon director Navaf Kumsani.
Announcing the events in advance could help families and visitors to plan and participate in the season.
The season according to him would open job opportunities for youths, allowing them to share in the nation's entertainment industry.
The season will feature exciting events including educational and entertainment activities, open bazaar, kids' area, theatre, Arab music concert, international exhibitions, science fest, live shows, movies on big screen, and balloon experience, among others.
Aside from these, visitors can enjoy more than 40 games, mobile amusement park, zoos, among others lasing 60 days.
The inaugural ceremony will last three consecutive days, accompanied by fireworks, according to Jeddah season director.
