Gaza: Israel Army launched airstrikes on Hamas military posts in Gaza reportedly in response to incendiary balloon shot to Israel territory from the Palestinian enclave on Friday. This is the latest Israel attack since a truce took place after May's conflict.
Hamas side also confirmed as being hit by Israeli strikes at its training sites but no injuries reported.
An Israeli army statement claimed that it had doused the small fires in the southern Eshkol region, on the Gaza border, caused by the arson balloons launched from Gaza on Thursday.
The statement further claimed the airstrikes targeted a weapons manufacturing site of Hamas in Gaza. But there was no indication of which group from Gaza launched the balloon.
The eleven days exchange of weapons between Israel and various Palestinian bound groups killed at least 260 Palestinians and 13 Israelis before reaching a truce on 21 May.
Intermittent flare-ups occurred in the region since the ceasefire came to the effect following the incendiary balloons that caused small fires in Israel's border regions.
Israel has maintained a crippling blockade on Gaza since 2007, the year Hamas took power, which the government says is necessary to contain armed groups in the enclave.
