Dubai: Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility was struck in an airstrike on Saturday, the official Iranian news agency Mizan reported, adding that there was no radiation leakage.
Natanz, Iran’s primary uranium enrichment site, had previously been targeted in the first week of the war, with satellite images showing damage to several buildings. The United Nations’ nuclear watchdog had stated at the time that “no radiological consequence” was expected from that earlier strike.
Located nearly 220 kilometres (135 miles) southeast of Tehran, the facility has also been targeted by Israeli airstrikes during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June 2025, as well as by the United States.
