As The Voice of Hind Rajab heads to the Oscars, a group of US lawmakers has launched a renewed push for accountability over the Gaza killing that inspired it.
More than a year after five-year-old Hind Rajab was killed along with members of her family and the paramedics who tried to reach her, Senator Peter Welch and Representative Sara Jacobs on March 12, 2026, introduced the Justice for Hind Rajab Act in Congress.
The legislation would compel the Donald Trump administration to investigate the 2024 attack that left Hind dead in a bullet-riddled car in Gaza and to examine broader patterns of civilian harm linked to US-backed military operations in the conflict.
