Doha: For most sprinters, the Gulf Madhyamam's Qatar Run is a field day of sorts just as they sprint down the track.
Many out there can't wait anymore for the third season of the Qatar Run which is just days away on April 1.
Already a calendar day with the participation of both Indians and foreigners, registration for Qatar Run 2022 is well underway.
This time round 500 entries are expected for both short and long distance runs involving participants from more than 45 nations.
The popular event, known by the slogan of better mind and better health in 2020, 2021, will take place at Aspire Park here.
The contests will start off at 6.30 in the morning keeping to the Covid norms in place.
There will be competitions in 16 categories involving 10 km, 5 km and 3 km for different age groups: open, masters and primary-secondary segments for children as well.
Those aged above 40 can compete in masters section, and for those aged above 16 can try open section.
Children aged between 7 and10 can run in primary section, those aged between 11 and 15 are eligible for secondary section. Everybody finishing the rounds will be given prizes.
There will be participants from 45 nations including India, Qatar, USA, Ukraine, New Zealand, Philippines, and Pakistan.
