Destroyed nearly all fighter aircrafts of Ukraine: Russian official

New Delhi: Russian strategy for Ukraine is not just about bombing the nation into oblivion. Alongside razing to ground the nation's infrastructure, Russia would just as soon cripple Ukraine's military strength, hence the attacks on nuclear stations.

Following reports of Russians having targeted Ukraine's largest freight carrier flight days ago, the latest inputs from Russian Defence Ministry say that they have destroyed almost all combat aircraft of Ukraine.

"Fighter aircraft and air defence of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down three more Ukrainian Su-27 fighters and three unmanned aerial vehicles in the air. In total, yesterday and incomplete today, the Ukrainian Air Force lost 11 combat aircraft and two helicopters," said Major General Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Defence Ministry, RT reported.

It seems Russian is going whole hog on Ukraine with a plan to crumble the nation. It could take years for Ukraine to recover from the vast damages, if at all the nation emerges as we know post-war—which is highly unlikely.

As part of what appears to be Russia's destructive plan, the Russian army weapons disabled the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Vinnitsa. To achieve this, Major General Igor Konashenkov said that Russians used high-precision long-range weapons.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence showed a video with a Su-34 front-line bomber, destroying a military facility of Ukrainian 'nationalists' with a high-precision air strike, according to IANS.

More inputs from the war front say Russian forces disabled the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Starokonstantinov Sunday morning.

Russia's behemoth force laid to waste Ukraine's military infrastructure attacking 61 military facilities, alongside bombing three radar stations as well as missiles targeted Ukraine's the S-300 air defence system.
