Covid deaths cross 3.85 million globally

As per the latest update by John Hopkins University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) on Sunday morning, the overall global COVID-19 caseload has topped 178 million while the death toll has crossed 3.85 million.

The US continues to be the worst-hit across the globe, with 33,536,904 cases and 601,721 deaths. While India follows close at heels in the number of active cases with 29,823,546 cases, Brazil comes second with 500,800 fatalities in the number of Covid- caused deaths.

Other countries with over 3 million cases include Brazil, France, Turkey, Russia, the UK, Argentina, Italy, Colombia, Spain, Germany, and Iran.

The death toll has crossed 100,00 in India, Mexico, the UK, Italy, Russia and France.
