Beijing: A married man in China, who was arrested in fake cash case, maintained relationship with four other women, all residing in the same place without knowing each other’s existence, NDTV reported citing The South China Morning Post.
The secret arrangement that lasted over four years sparked discussion in Chinese social media.
The man, known by the pseudonym Xiaojun, hailing from Jilin province in northeastern China, was from a modest background with his mother being a bathhouse attendant, and his father doing part-time construction works.
Xiaojun, who dropped out of secondary school, created an image for himself as wealthy heir thus deceiving his wife, Xiaojia.
He often gifted her counterfeit luxury items that he purchased online to impress her.
The couple formalized their relationship through marriage when Xiaojia became pregnant.
After discovering her husband’s actual financial situation Xiaojia, expelled him from their home, rather than seeking divorce, and decided to raise the child on her own.
Xiaojun now met Xiaohong online and borrowed 140,000 yuan from her before renting a flat to live with her.
However, he was then dating three other women: university students Xiaomin and Xiaoxin and nurse Xiaolan.
He managed to extract small amounts from these women.
The university student Xiaoxin grew suspicious when she found fake cash in Xiaojun’s bag and reported him to police, revealing his secret life.
