A video of two elephants saving a baby elephant fallen in a pool has got the netizens talking about the compassionate nature of animals towards their mates.
The adorable video, captured on a CCTV at Seoul Grand Park, Korea, shows the panic of two elephants when the calf falls into the pool while drinking water. The video has gone viral on social media garnering thousands of likes and shares.
The footage shows two elephants, the calf and an older one drinking water from the pool, and suddenly the calf falling into the pool. The panic-stricken ‘mama’ elephant runs here and there without knowing what to do. The sound of the splash alerts another elephant at the other side of the enclosure, and it immediately turns round and runs over to the scene.
One of the viewers reacted "Wow, that's amazing that's parenting goals right there. They knew the depth the moment it started heading to the end of the pool. So quick to react and the way she used her body as a wall to sustain the calf to keep from moving as well as level it upwards was very smart and impressive." While another said "This is the best thing I've ever seen," says another.
