The price of Apple's iPhone 11 (128GB) in India is typically ₹15,000 higher than it is in the United States, which offers the cheapest iPhone 11 prices globally at ₹55,000 ($749), a new study finds.
The study, which compares iPhone prices in 44 different countries, is put together by Hello Safe. iPhone price is a reliable indicator for the cost of tech products in different parts of the world, the study points out.
One should note that e-commerce platforms in India offer deep discounts to iPhones from time to time, so the study has its caveats in making a blind comparison between countries.
Higher taxes and import costs are the factors that generally contribute to the price difference, something that has prompted many keralites to fetch fresh and used iPhones from gulf countries via their friends/relatives.
After the United States, Japan offers the cheapest iPhone 11 ( ₹55.5K), followed by Canada (₹58k), according to the study.
At ₹81,000, iPhone 11 is most expensive to buy from Sweden, which is closely followed by Greece.
