Tesla's Cybertruck stops taking orders in China, Europe

New Delhi: It seems there is a run on Tesla's Cybertruck across the world.

The electric carmaker reportedly is overwhelmed and may be looking for a breathing space.

Tesla has stopped taking more orders for the vehicle on its websites in China and Europe, according to IANS.

Visitors from these place can now sign up for Cybertruck updates.

You are not allowed to place an order for Cybertruck until the company says so.

If you are from Canada, the US and Mexico, you can still order for the vehicle.

At the Financial Times Future of the Car Conference, Tesla Elon Musk talked about Cybertruck's long wait times.

He said the lead time for ordering a Tesla was currently ridiculously long.

The company's issue, he said, was not demand but production.

The company, according to him, was on track to reach volume production of Cybertruck in 2023.

The Cybertruck's simple structure is advantageous against a traditional truck. Because it has 20-30 per cent fewer parts, according to the report.

Looking more like a pickup from a sci-fi movie, Cybertruck has a unique design.
