LG's rollable OLED TV finally goes on sale for $87,000.

LG Electronics, on Tuesday, has announced that World's first rollable TV is finally going on sale at a price of $87,000 (63.9 lakh INR) or 100 won. The LG Signature OLED R is available at seven consumer electronics store throughout South Korea and is aimed to target high-end customers amid the pandemic.

The Signature OLED R is built around a flexible OLED panel, LG describes it as "the most innovative development in television technology in decades."

The word "R" contains the meaning of "revolutionary," "rollable" and "redefine the space," according to LG.

The TV offers a 65-inch 4K display that tucks away into its base with the press of a button. Besides being able to hide completely, as LG has promised in the previews, the TV has different settings (Full View, Line View and Zero View) for different situations.

"LG's exquisite creation liberates users from the limitations of the wall, enabling owners to curate their living environment without having to permanently set aside space for a large, black screen that is only useful when turned on," the company said in a statement.

LG is also offering a set of customizable speakers made of an aluminium base and a wool cover with the TV.

The TV was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in the United States, in 2019.

LG had originally planned to launch the rollable TV in 2019, but the mass production has been delayed due to OLED display supply and yield rate issues.

Owners of the LG Signature OLED R TV will get free after-sales support for three years and will get special checkup services twice a year.
