Indian space research organization (ISRO) is all set to launch its Earth observation satellite EOS-01 along with nine international customer satellites from its launchpad in Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota tomorrow.
India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle(PSLV-C49) will launch the satellite by 1502 Hrs IST. This is PSLVs 51st mission. ISRO in a statement said that "EOS-01 is an Earth observation satellite intended for applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support"
The customer satellites are being launched under a commercial agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial hand of ISRO. This is ISRO's first launch after the pandemic. Earlier in June ISRO chief K Shivan had said that 10 space missions are ready to be launched but COVID-19 had disturbed it.
Because of strict COVID-19 pandemic norms, no media gathering is allowed, the live telecast will be available in ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.
