Google Photos will not offer 'unlimited storage' from June 2021

Google, on Wednesday, announced that the company is going to change its unlimited high quality storage policy. The company announced that Google Photos will not allow free uploads from June 2021.

Google has said that it will charge users after they exceed the the limited-15GB -free storage, users will have to pay for additional storage on Google one.

Google, however, said that most users will not need additional storage for at least 3 years.

Google called this move a "big shift" and said that the decision "can't be taken lightly".

Changes have also been announced for Google Drive, starting from June 2021; uploaded documents, forms, sheets, drawings etc will be counted towards the free 15 GB storage.

In India, Google offers 100GB space of 130 rupees per month or 1300 rupees per annum, rupees 210 per month and rupees 2100 for 210GB. Other plans of the company include a 2 TB and a 10 TB plan which are priced at a monthly rate of 650 rupees and 3500 rupees respectively.
