End to wait: Apple iPhone 14 likely to launch next month

Are you among those cooling their heels to grab iPhone 14?

You are just a couple of weeks away from swiping your next-level iPhone if things heard on the grapevine are to be trusted.

The new series will be out in September which the company has not yet officially announced - that is a rider though.

It is tipped that Apple will host the release on September 13.

The tradition has it that Apple usually introduces its late models in September; it is more likely there will not be any change this time too.

The upcoming model has been talked about a lot over the past six months, giving rise to excitement among iPhone fans in India.

Apple is expected to announce four models - iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, India Today reports.

You have gotten to modify your expectations this time, as the reports say that iPhone 14 could be a minor upgrade over the last year's model.

Speculations hint at Pro models coming out with major upgrades on a chipset, camera and other aspects.

As with the new model coming out, the mini version could be ditched as it failed to receive a good response in the market.

Reasons cited for its poor performance include a 5.4-inch display and a hefty price tag.

You don't have to worry about display on the upcoming versions: the regular model will have a 6.1 LTPS OLED display, while the Max variant will be fitted with a 6.7-inch screen.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max variants will likely offer the punch-hole display design that most Android phones have these days, the report said.

As for design, the regular and the Max models will have identical features seen on the iPhone 13 series.

There may not be the new Bionic chipsets on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max but instead, they will come with the A15 Bionic chip that powered the iPhone 13 series, of course, it is undoubtedly a strong chip.

The Pro models will likely feature the new A16 Bionic SoC under the hood.

If you are frugal, here is something interesting for you: the cheaper models of the iPhone 14 series will feature a dual rear camera at the back with larger sensors, unlike the previous version.

The Pro models could sport a 48-megapixel triple rear camera setup, a major improvement from the 12-megapixel sensors seen on 2021 models.

The upcoming iPhone models will run on iOS 16 as has been announced by Apple at WWDC 2020 event earlier this year.

The iPhone 14 series will offer enhanced battery life and one report said that the iPhone 14 Pro models could be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in about 30 minutes.
