Elon Musk asks Twitter CEO to 'stop creating trouble'

New Delhi: Before pulling out of buying Twitter, Elon Musk texted Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal warning him that the company's lawyers were trying to cause trouble, reports say.

After weeks of hogging the media about the deal, the Tesla CEO decided not to engage in $44 billion Twitter deal.

Twitter's lawyers reportedly sought information on the financial details that Musk was planning to complete the acquisition of Twitter, according to India Today.

There was the likelihood of Musk taking over Twitter when he withdrew the deal, claiming Twitter failed to provide details about spam bots.

As the deal was terminated on July 9, Twitter was not ready to let go Musk without facing legal consequences.

Subsequently, Bret Taylor, chairman of Twitter, announced that the site would sue Musk for terminating the deal.

Taylor said the Twitter Board will take legal action to enforce the deal as the microblogging site is committed to closing the transaction on the terms agreed with Musk.

Now that Twitter forced him to buy the site in court, the microblogging site has to disclose bot info in court, Musk reportedly said.

Musk backed out of the deal after alleging that Twitter had not proved him with information about fake and spam accounts on the site.
