New Delhi:Tech giant Apple on Wednesday announced the launch of Apple Invites, a new app designed for iPhone users to create custom invitations, making it easier to bring friends and family together for any occasion.
Apple Invites allows users to create and share invitations seamlessly, manage RSVPs, contribute to Shared Albums, and engage with Apple Music playlists. The app is available for iCloud+ subscribers to create invitations, while anyone can RSVP, regardless of whether they have an Apple Account or an Apple device.
“With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s Senior Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud. “Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events,” he added.
Users can start by selecting images from their photo library or choosing from a curated gallery of backgrounds that represent various occasions and event themes. The app also integrates with Maps to provide directions and with Weather to offer real-time forecasts for the event day.
Additionally, participants can easily contribute photos and videos to a dedicated Shared Album within each invite, helping preserve memories and relive the event. Apple Music subscribers can create collaborative playlists for events, allowing guests to access a curated soundtrack directly from Apple Invites.
The app also leverages Apple Intelligence to help users create unique event invitations. With the built-in image playground experience, users can generate original images using concepts, descriptions, and photos from their library. Moreover, Apple Invites offers writing tools to assist in composing personalized invitations.
Apple Invites is free to download from the App Store and is compatible with all iPhone models running iOS 18 or later.
