Apple releases iOS 14.2, iPad 14.2, WatchOS 7.1 and MacOS updates.

Apple has officially released the iOS 14.2 updates for iPhones and iPads. WatchOS7.1 has also been released for Apple Watches.iOS 12.4.9 has been released for iPhones which have not upgraded to iOS 14.

iOS 14.2 has introduced over 100 new emojis including a ninja, "a pride flag", lungs; the update aims to remove bugs which were present in previous releases. The new iOS update also allows users to measure the distance by using the LIDAR sensors present in iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the feature is primarily aimed towards blind users of the phone.

The update for Apple Watch allows the watch to be connected to the Homepod intercom system and headphones audio warnings among many other features.

Size of the iOS 14.2 update is around 1.45 GB; the watchOS 7.1 is about 300MB in size.

The software update is already being released for iPhone users. The updates can be downloaded from the Software Update option present in the default settings application.
