As Japan is battling another wave of coronavirus, Tokyo Olympics organisers are considering delaying the decision on how many spectators shall be allowed to enter the venues. The DPA reported that the organising committee would make the decision in June instead of the end of April. The organisers had banned overseas spectators in March.
Tokyo confirmed 843 cases on Wednesday, the highest in nearly three months. As per local media, the central government is considering a third state of emergency in Tokyo, Osaka and Hyogo. The Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike also informed that the city was considering asking the central government to issue a state of emergency.
