Euro 2024: Germany, Switzerland concedes draw; Scotland out

Frankfurt, Stuttgart: In Group A of Euro 2024, when Switzerland conceded a draw with Germany, Hungary defeated Scotland, sending the latter out of the campaign.

In the match between Germany and Switzerland, Germany managed to score an equalizer to bring the match to a draw at the Deutsche Bank Park stadium here. Niclas Fullkrug scored deep into stoppage time to take Germany to the top of the table in Group A, while Switzerland became second.

Switzerland's Dan Ndoye put Remo Freuler's cross from close range to the target and scored in the 28th minute, leaving Germany to chase the match till the end. The development actually happened after VAR invalidated a goal Germany scored. In the second half, VAR ruled out a Switzerland goal too. Ruban Vargas has made a clean shot of the ball to the target.

Fullkrug rose to the occasion and scored the equalizer.

Meanwhile, in another match, Hungary kicked Scotland out of its campaign after the former made a 1-0 win against the latter at MHPArena stadium here. Kevin Csoboth scored the winning goal for Hungary in injury time for Hungary, keeping their campaign alive to the last 16 of the Euro 2024. During the regular time of the match, Hungary striker Varga was stretched off the ground following a sickening accident. It happened in the second half, and his teammates were visibly shocked, Agence France-Presse reported.

Shortly after the match, the Hungarian Football Federation informed that Varga was in a hospital in Stuttgart and was in stable condition.
