Case on Hyderabad FC: Co owner Rana Daggubati & others booked

Jamshedpur: For Hyderabad FC, a police case comes as a new setback after the franchise is in dire straits due to continuous defeats in the Indian Super League and FIFA actions.

A hotel in Jamshedpur lodged a complaint against the football club, alleging a failure to settle bills about hiring 23 rooms over a three-day period while the team stayed there for an away game against Jamshedpur FC. Bistupur police registered an FIR against co-owners of Hyderabad FC, including actor Rana Daggubati, The Avenue Mail reported.

The General Manager of Hotel Ramada in the Bistupur police station area, Hari Kumar V Karupp, filed the complaint, and a case has been registered under sections 406, 420, and 34 of the IPC.

The case is registered against officials of the football club such as manager Vijay Madhuri, Varun Tripuraneni, Rana Daggubati (Rana Daggubati, who featured the mighty Bhallala Deva in Baahubali), team manager Nitin Mohan, team coordinator Anthony Thomas, general manager Suresh Gopalakrishnan, Ranganatha Reddy, and TK Balaji. As per the case, those named did not pay the due amount to settle bills, and they collectively misappropriated the pending amount.

The team booked the rooms, paying one lakh rupees in advance, and stayed there from October 3rd to 6th. As per the complaint, the team members left the hotel without paying the balance on the 6th morning. The hotel authorities tried to contact the club authorities through phone and e-mail but received no response, the complaint alleged.
