"What if I fall... what if you fly": Kohli's tweet goes viral

India's ace batter and experienced cricketer, Virat Kohli, who is going through a rough patch in his career at the moment, shared a picture of himself before an artistic work on Twitter. The artwork featuring two wings bore a message, "What if I fall... Oh but my darling, what if you fly", and the picture was captioned, "Perspective".

The super batter has been facing issues finding foot before wickets. His last century was in 2019 November, and he is barely keeping himself in the crease for long during his innings this year. He only scored 11 and 20 in the fifth Test against England, while 1 and 11 in two T20Is in the tour. When he missed the first ODI in the England tour, he only scored 16 off 25 balls in the second.

His form has become a top topic among experts and fans alike. When many suggested he take a break from international cricket, some had suggested dropping him from the squad, NDTV reports.

However, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen surfaced with all moral support to Kohli. Peitersen replied to Kohli's 'perspective' post, "You go big guy! People can only dream what you've done in cricket. And they're some of the best players that have played the game."

Later Pietersen posted a photo of himself with Kohli on Instagram and captioned it, "Buddy, your career has had some of the best that have played the game only wish they could have done what you have(so far). Be proud, walk tall & enjoy life. There's way more than just the bubble of cricket out there. You'll be back, @virat.kohli."

Earlier, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who gets compared with Kohli by many, had tweeted extending his moral support. His tweet read, "This too shall pass".

Babar later told the press, "As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase (out of form), and I also know what a player goes through in such a phase. In those times, you need support. I just tweeted thinking that it will give just some support. He is one of the best players," when asked about the tweet. He added, "He is playing a lot of cricket, and he knows how to come out of these situations. It takes time, if you back players, it will be really good," he added.
