Persistent rain forces stopping Pak vs Banglesh test

Persistent rain on Monday at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka forced officia to call off the third day of the Bangladesh vs Pakistan test. As a result of cyclone Jawad, there was persistent rain throughout the day, never allowing the covers to come off, but forecasts are better for day four.

"Unfortunately, day three of the second #BANvPAK Test has been abandoned due to persistent rain," ICC tweeted.

There were only 6.2 overs bowled on Day 2 of the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Dhaka due to persistent rain and wet outfield conditions. The visitors reached 188 for 2 after the revised second session -- Babar Azam (71 not out) and Azhar Ali (52 not off) put together an unbeaten stand of 118 runs -- before once again the heavens opened. After considering the weather and the light, the umpires decided to call the playoff the day.  As there were puddles on the ground, it was not a great day to play.
