U - 19 Asia Cup : India topples Bangladesh by 103 runs to reach the final against Sri Lanka

India hammered Bangladesh by 103 runs in the semifinals of the Under-19 Asia Cup to set up a showdown with Sri Lanka in the final on Thursday. Shaik Rasheed's superb 90 runs helped India to victory.

After being invited to bat, India posted a modest total of 243-8 in 50 overs thanks to a fine knock by Rasheed. Other batsmen who had important contributions included Vicky Ostwal (28 not out), Yash Dhull (26) and Raj Bawa (23)

Rakibul Hasan bowled three for 41 from his 10 overs, making him the most successful bowler for Bangladesh.

After losing wickets at regular intervals, Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 140 runs in 38.2 overs. Ariful Islam made a 42-run knock for Bangladesh; Mahfijul Islam was the top scorer with 26 runs.

Among India's bowlers, Ravi Kumar (2/22) shared eight wickets with Vicky Ostwal (2/25) and Raj Bawa (2/26), while Kaushal Tambe (1/5) and Nishant Sindhu (1/25) each accounted for one wicket.

A semi-final clash between Sri Lanka and Pakistan ended in a 22-run victory for Sri Lanka. India will now face Sri Lanka on Friday in Dubai.
