Ganguly ad for Fortune cooking oil pulled down

New Delhi:  Former cricketer and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been pulled off the advertisement of Forture Rice Bran cooking oil,  following a mild cardiac arrest he suffered recently.

Ganguly's endorsement of the cooking oil was with a claim to be healthy for the heart. Social media had gone round with troll about the ad campaign as a travesty of the man in his condition with cardiac health.

Following the reactions,  Adani Wilmar,  the parent company of fortune Oils - pulled down all their ads featuring Ganguly.

"The advertising featuring Ganguly has been removed across platforms," said one of the persons who is closely working on the campaign. "Ogilvy & Mather, creative agency for the brand, is looking into the issue and is working on a fresh redressal campaign," he was quoted in reports as saying.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old is reported to be on the way to full recovery and expected to be discharge by Wednesday.   His angioplasty that was mulled at a point,  was postponed to a later stage,  as per the advice of the nine-member medical board attending on him.
