Birmingham: The Indian women's cricket team defeated the host, England, for four runs to reach the finals of Commonwealth Games 2022 on Saturday.
India won the toss and opted to bat first, and Smriti Mandhana decided to prove that her team made the right choice by hitting 61 while Jemimah Rodrigues' joined her with a valuable 44 not out. Thus, India scored 164 for 5 in the semifinal match.
England could only manage to score 160 for 6 in the chase during their innings in the T20I match. Natalie Sciver and Danielle Wyatt scored 41 and 35 respectively for England, scoring most of the runs for the hosts.
