Beware, Google tracks your movements

San Francisco: An investigation by Associated Press reveals that internet giant Google would record your movements, no matter you tell it not to.

Google services on Android devices and iPhones store your location data. This is despite you have enabled privacy setting in order to prevent invasion.

Computer science researchers at Princeton University confirmed the findings.

Google never shies away from asking permission to use users’ location information. Also, Google Maps would remind user to allow access to location in case of using it for navigation

Agreeing to allow it record location overtime meant Google Maps would display that history in a “timeline”.

“That maps out your daily movements” the report says.
