Obviously an overture to Rama Rajya

On January 22 in Ayodhya exactly where the demolished Babri Masjid stood Pranapratistha of Ram Mandir, built at an unprecedented pace, was carried out in the presence of 8000 invitees with PM Modi being proudly ensconced as the chief of the ceremony allowing the nation to witness in his language the birth of a new era. Afterwards, PM Modi has cheerfully declared that the foundation for the next thousand years has been laid. Sangh Parivar and the government it leads claimed that India that is Bharat will be known as Ram Rajya. It remains to be seen what more changes can take place different from those the Hindutva party has already implemented over the past ten years of its power in both the centre and some major states. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who participated in the ceremony alongside PM Modi, said that the day brought back not only India’s voice but pride too.

In the run-up to the next Lok Sabha polls, the nation is seeing the past legacy of the Modi administration which came to power taking oath in the name of a constitution based on secularism and democracy. Those who experienced this legacy cannot deny it was a direct vignette of totalitarianism and racial partiality. On the one hand, nearly all public enterprises have been given over to the corporates without so much as lifting a finger against unlawful violations they commit. As many as 22 crore of people, beset by unemployment and rising prices, suffer the punishment of living in abject poverty. Most of the young Indians leave the country pursuing education and jobs in foreign lands. The plans to take our education system back to millennia are nearing fruition. Everything from science to history are being undermined in a primitive manner mocking the social realities. This makes the youngsters think that they can no longer be in this country. From citizenship to their identity religious minorities are facing fierce challenges. Hatred and hate are being disseminated through the media; while the independent media that point out the truth are being enmeshed in legal entanglements. And turning media into sycophants after buying them up through capitalists is nearly successful. Efforts are successfully underway to bring judiciary, which is the last resort, under control. Sixty percent of the people want the secular alliance to win to end this nightmare. Even that hope rests on settling of cacophony within the INDIA bloc. Knowing this fully well, PM Modi plays the part of the chief of ceremony of the incomplete temple. Giving away the land to build a temple for the majority community ‘in order not to repeat the past experience’,-- while pointing out the demolition of the Babri Masjid was unjust and wrong— the Supreme Court never thought that more serious troubles could be in the making. Sangh Parivar’s aim is to increase MPs by creating issues to emotionally control majority minds in each polls.

Hence, Narendra Modi, who is seeking a third term, fulfilled the long standing dream of building a temple in the name of Ram. The first phase has been completed in Rs 1800 crore and assured that Ram Rajya will be established with the remaining Rs 1400 crore. The concerns of the people about Sri Rama, who is only a character in an epic and seen as a pacifier, taking the avatar of a destroyer is not without basis. Because humane qualities like love, peace, friendship, tolerance have not yet entered the dictionary of Sanghparivar. If PM Modi prostrating himself before Ram idol at noon showing the whole world signals at a fundamental change, it will certainly be a new experience. Meanwhile, reports the other day said Sunni Central Waqf board, part of the Yogi Adityanath government in U.P, is going to construct a mosque named Muhammad Bin Abdullah 22 km away. Because of the noncooperation of the authorities, the reclassification of five acres of agricultural land has not been done till today. Only 50 lakhs received as donation six months ago! The community will be laughing at the mosque to be built at the cost of 300 crore in three or four years through donations. Because they already said they don't want it.
