Four days working per week in UAE, Futuristic and most welcomed step

Dr. Pramod Mahajan

Sharjah: The UAE is going to observe four and a half days in a week and Sharjah four days in a week as working days. It is a highly welcome change to enhance the happiness index among the school stakeholders aligned with UNESCO guidelines to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of the employees. No doubt the two and a half days or three days holidays in a week will provide a lot of opportunities to rejuvenate the thought process by critical thinking and energize to be an experiential lifelong learner.

It gives a lot of time to think 'what to be next'. No doubt technology has given a glow into even small villages - civilization and culture come together and all virtual boundaries almost disappeared. It is important and must to create a mindset which nourishes global thinking. We have to see life in a bigger, happier and mindful context. Young minds must be trained and get connected with ancient and modern and the local and global way of life.

In this context, one has to pay attention to the physical, emotional and psychological health to enhance the adversity quotient. A Big Salute to the proactive and futuristic leadership of UAE with gratitude and thanks to H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Thinking about all the employees of the great country UAE, Edu leaders and Educationist must adopt the 'Hyper Customized and Adaptive Smart Time Management Plan' to ensure effective learning and to bridge the learning gap if it is created. A welcome change from the futuristic and future-fit state to be the first-rate in education to think beyond to create competent and efficient 21st Century 'Z – Generation Learner' but Independent Scaffolder.
